The Magic of Smiles

On Wednesday April 11^th 2001 smiles abounded for the 200 students and families who attended the Central Park Elementary School Ice cream Social and Magic Show. This event which was sponsored by Central Park's home and school association was a rousing success. Students were dazzled by the magic provided by the magician, illusionist and balloon artist, Mark Young.

The purpose of this type of activity is to allow families to spend time with each other in the school setting. Several of the teachers who were present were thrilled not only by the turn out but also because of the quality of the show. "The students just love activities like this," stated a kindergarten teacher.
